Here’s a revamped product description designed to ignite desire:
“Unleash the Legend: The 1971 Valiant Charger R/T – A Piece of Automotive History
Born in the mid-70s, the Valiant Charger R/T wasn’t just a car; it was a statement. Released in August 1971, it exploded onto the Australian scene, captivating hearts and minds with its bold design – a genuine game-changer. Remember those iconic TV ads? It was the right car, at the right time, and it rode the wave of a truly phenomenal marketing campaign.
Originally, the standard Charger offered a thrilling selection of engines: monstrous ‘Hemi’ sixes – 215, 245, and 265 cubic inches – alongside the thunderous 318 and 360 V8s. But for the serious enthusiasts, the R/T with the legendary ‘Six Pack’ was the ultimate expression of raw power. Featuring triple Weber 45DCOE carburetors and full exhaust extractors, it brought European exotica like Ferrari and Maserati squarely into the Australian performance landscape. And the ‘Six Pack’ wasn’t just one beast; the E37 delivered brutal stump-pulling torque at low RPMs, while the E38 was meticulously tuned for screaming top-end power.
For the track, the R/T evolved into the Track Pack – a surgically precise machine built for domination. We’re talking stiffer suspension, a dual-plate clutch capable of handling immense power, a close-ratio three-speed gearbox, a limited-slip differential offering a precise selection of ratios, track-optimized brakes with adjustable proportioning valves, and even finned rear drums. Plus, a quicker 16:1 steering box and adjustable rear spring hangers gave you the ultimate control over suspension tuning, ready to conquer any circuit.
This particular Charger R/T is more than just metal and chrome. It’s a rare, meticulously maintained machine, and this one comes complete with a certificate detailing its individual production number – guaranteeing its authenticity and place in automotive history. Don't just buy a car; own a legend.”

Classic Carlectables 18714 1/18 Holden HZ GTS Jasmine Yellow

The HZ series was launched in October 1977 and represents the best of the Holden GTS range, the last of the US inspired “big body” Holdens. Subsequent Holdens would now follow European styling and engineering, evident by the behind scenes work gearing up for the most drastic model shift ever, the launch of the Commodore in 1978. The HZ brought remarkable advances in ride and handling with the introduction of Radial Tuned Suspension, delivering a Holden that tamed local road conditions better than any before with road straightening, precise handling and better stability under braking. While the Radial Tuned Suspension (RTS) had its biggest impact on the GTS, many more appointments helped to make it more of a stand-alone package, including four quartz halogen head lamps, mesh grille, colour-coded front and rear spoilers and bumpers and subtle body stripes and detailing on optioned-up versions. The HZ GTS initially was offered as a 4.2 V8, but was dropped in April 1978 when power steering became standard. So Holden’s classic 308ci (5.0 litre) became the power source. The interior featured further special treatment including revised instruments, tartan plaid cloth on the classy contoured bucket seats and a sports steering wheel. The five spoke, colour-coded, pressed steel rims also became a GTS option for the HZ.
