Originally commissioned between 1972 and 1976, these aren’t just models; they’re miniature legends, built in three distinct phases by the Ballarat North and Newport Workshops.
Initially 100 were forged by Ballarat North, followed by another 50 produced by Newport, and finally, a final 100 returned to Ballarat North. They’ve witnessed decades of railway history!
Each of these three HO Scale models is a remarkably detailed recreation, boasting authentic features like opening sliding doors, a striking checker plate internal floor, robust cargo barriers, and a choice of plain or louvre doors. They're complete with genuine KD Metal Couplers and metal pin point axles for unparalleled realism. You’ll find them sporting the distinctive Freight Australia logos, reflecting their prominent role in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
