Here’s a revised description designed to be more engaging and enticing for a potential buyer:
“Prepare to command the seas with the formidable King Kong class guided missile destroyer – a breathtaking homage to the legendary US Navy’s Arleigh Burke class, but amplified to an unprecedented level of power. Boasting a full-load displacement of 9,485 tons, this vessel immediately establishes itself as the most advanced air defense destroyer within the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force.
At the heart of the King Kong’s dominance is the revolutionary SPY-1D Aegis phased array radar, a colossal four-sided array that dominates the bridge and grants unparalleled situational awareness. The Aegis system isn’t just an upgrade – it’s a quantum leap, shattering the limitations of previous systems like the Tatar, offering dramatically increased detection ranges, multi-target engagement capabilities, and lightning-fast response times.
Don’t just defend, obliterate. The King Kong is armed with the devastating “Thor” anti-submarine missile – launched with precision from the ship’s integrated MK.41 vertical launch system, alongside a formidable arsenal of “Standard” Type 3 air defense missiles (inherited from the earlier “Myoko” class, meticulously upgraded through three generations). And when stealth is paramount, a cutting-edge light torpedo ensures unrivaled anti-submarine capabilities.
Finally, equipped with powerful P / S (1) 2 12.7mm or 20mm night vision machine guns, the King Kong class is ready for any encounter. Own a symbol of naval dominance – command the King Kong.”

The Japanese Navy's Last Heavy Cruiser

The Chikuma was completed in May 1939 as the second ship of the Tone-class. She was the final heavy cruiser to be built by the Japanese Navy and featured a distinctive design which concentrated four twin 20.3cm main gun turrets forward of the bridge in order to allow unimpeded launching of her six floatplanes from the aft deck during battle. Chikuma often accompanied the Japanese Navy's aircraft carriers since her floatplanes provided considerable reconnaissance capabilities to the fleet, and she was present at such important engagements as the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Midway. She continued to serve valiantly until her demise at the hands of U.S. carrier aircraft during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
