<p>The New York Battleship (BB-34) is the first ship of the New York class battleship. She is the fifth US military ship in the name of New York State. The New York was built at the Brooklyn Shipyard in 1911, launched in 1912, and began service in 1914. Then the New York State supported the United States invading Veracruz after the Tampico incident.
